Designed either to protect an area from spirits, or to trap spirits within the ward, this spell creates a carefully attuned astral barrier designed specifically to prevent the passage of Spirits. The ward is spherical in shape, and impedes the progress of spirits either into or out of the warded area. Manifest beings (anything with a physical body, however temporary) and spells are unaffected by the barrier. Any non-manifest spirit attempting to cross the barrier must make a Willpower check with difficulty equal to the ward's Barrier Strength or else be repulsed by it.
