Bethtarr

Bethtarr, like Yaasha, loves the new world for its wild beauty. Unlike most of the Gods, she refused to flee the world after the death of Menkharra and the rising of life from his blood - but instead chose to stay and embrace the mortal world. Unlike Yaasha however, she has no particular care for sapient races, and finds as much joy in the savagery of the hunt as in the quiet blossoming of flowers. Indeed, while she is sometimes known to aid those who live as one with the wild, she sometimes visits ruin on those who she perceives as transgressing against the balance of nature.

Despite her wildness, Bethtarr is widely revered and even loved. Legends attribute to her the power to change the seasons themselves, said to be provoked by her love for the Angel Luthanic; summer comes when he visits her in the deep forests of her home and winter when she travels to his bright city, leaving the natural world behind.

Her symbol is the Tangled Tree, and she is most often pictured as a wild and beautiful tree-spirit. She is sometimes known as the God of the Wild. Her followers adhere to the Code of Bethtarr.

Although they bear little resemblance, save for their love of living things, Bethtarr is the sister of Faraya.
