Valestakha is [[Vellamni]]'s sword, a weapon composed wholly of fire. As a weapon of the [[God]]s it contains vast power, though the extent of this power is said to be based on the strength of it's wielder's emotions.

This sword has a powerful connection to [[Onostothorin]], which may be counted in some senses as a lesser reflection of Vellamni's sword.

Vellamni used her sword to blind [[Sulansis]] as punishment for the murder of her son.

In many cultures throughout Reshomme, those seeking love or sex may carry out a ritual to symbolically wield Valestakha in order to improve their chances. Such rituals are normally focussed on prayer and symbolic actions rather than real magic, and frequently call for a brand or new-forged sword to be held while visiting a potential lover.

It is believed that amongst Valestakha's abilities is the power to sever old ties that limit one's behaviour and hold one back; allowing action free of restraint from which new bonds may be formed.

Those wishing to irritate [[Lucian Albrecht]] may be entertained by the fact that it was only after he took up the giant, flaming sword Onostothorin - a weapon that, as noted above, has a strong link to Valestakha - that he was successful in finding love...

In essense it is a part of the [[Elemental Plane of Earth]] bound with the power of the [[Elemental Plane of Water]] into the form of a sword.

Dorahnta believed that the bonds of love and loyalty between Anassalla and [[Laynsria]] were a greater testament of their true character than their allegiance to [[Sulansis]], but whether right or wrong it was not enough to save his life.

The title held by the [[Torathra]] who guards the Void-forged blades [[Elvondorjust]] and [[Sylerandyth]] in the city of [[Tethgate]] on [[Torathai]].

The current Bladekeeper is a Torathra named [[Heantakha]].

The previous Bladekeeper, [[Dorahnta]] was betrayed and murdered by [[Anassalla]] - who stole Elvondorjust and was cursed terribly by Heantakha as a result.

Heantakha has agreed to allow the [[Sulaim]] warrior [[Yeasra Lon Torail]] to wield Elvondorjust after the stolen sword was returned by [[Lucian Albrecht]].

The sword is composed of blazing lightning bound to a core of solid, blue flame. In essense it is a part of the [[Elemental Plane of Air]] bound with the power of the [[Elemental Plane of Fire]] into the form of a sword.

A Void-forged blade of fire; Onostothorin is essentially part of the [[Elemental Plane of Fire]] carved out using unimaginable power and bound to a stone sword whose integrity is maintained through a link to the [[Elemental Plane of Earth]].

Onostothorin's power is also linked both to the [[Banesword]] of [[Alas]] and to [[Vellamni|Vellamni's]] [[Valestakha|sword of fire]].

Onostothorin's current owner is a [[Mantoni|Mantonian]] [[Warrior Adventurer]] [[Lucian Albrecht]] and was given to him by the [[First Blademaster of Nentreneth]]. [[Lucian Albrecht|Lucian]] is also in possession of [[Onostothorin's Scabbard]].

In practical terms Onostothorin is a huge, two-handed sword that is magically light and easy to handle and inflicts massive physical and fire damage. Although the entirety of the sword is surrounded by raging fire, its wielder and his clothing and carried items are immune to the flame.

Onostothorin is an item of great power, poorly understood by its current owner. The full extent of its energy is hinted at by the fact that it briefly powered the [[Great Seal of Aethleas]]. It was soul-bonded to Lucian by the Dragon [[Benethyarr]] after Lucian's soul was grievously wounded in a battle beneath [[Hightemple]].

Three similar blades, bound to the other three elements, also exist. They are [[Elvondorjust]], [[Sylerandyth]], and [[Lunstorgorthin]].
