You are proficient in a style of combat where an offhand weapon is used for defence in place of a shield. While in this stance you favour your primary weapon for attacking and reserve your offhand weapon for parrying, gaining a +1 AM for attacks with the primary or defences with the offhand and a -1 AM for defences with the primary or attacks with the offhand.
