Yaasha

"Though all his works and his disciples had been destroyed to make it, he overcame his bitterness and, like Bethtarr before him, he saw the wonder of this new world, and embraced the sea as his home."

Yaasha is the God of the Friendly Sea, patron of honest sailors and fishermen and guardian of coastal waters. Like Bethtarr he loves the world for its wild beauty, but unlike her he is willing to protect mortals from the worst of its rigours in order that they might come to love it as he does. Most particularly, Yaasha has sworn to defend the world from the predations of his hated rival Kaneesh and the two often fight great battles deep beneath the waves.

The symbol of Yaasha is The Smiling Fish, a happy fish or dolphin. He is generally depicted either as a white dolphin, or as a rugged but cheerful sailor wielding a trident.

Yaasha and Taramis are good friends, and share a love for travelling and exploration. It is not uncommon for worshippers of one to also follow the other, at least to some extent. The Angel Starenkeen is one example of this phenomena.

Notable worship of Yaasha includes the Mantonian Royal Order of the Dolphin. His followers adhere to the Code of Yaasha.
