Tylaria

Tylaria is a port city in North Western Berellion, notable for its people's strongly isolationist mindset. Although Tylaria is technically part of Berellion and thus obliged to pay taxes and contribute troops to the nation as a whole, there are in practice very few cultural connections between the city and the rest of the nation.

Tylaria is currently controlled by a council of religious elders who rule in the name of the young Count Narrin Mannorian, who has yet to come of age. Narrin is the grandson of the last Count, Telderan Mannorian who was murdered around a year ago. Narrin's parents Jaran and Ylanna Mannorian were lost at sea while he was still an infant. The only other contender for the throne, Telderan's elder son Lonireim was implicated in his father’s death and exiled.

The city is currently rife with rumours that Lonir has declared himself Count-in-Exile and has won many powerful allies with his brave deeds abroad. Many in the city believe it can only be a matter of time before the rogue returns to claim the throne, whether rightly or wrongly.
